New design

I hope you like it. Now it should be easier for English readers to move around too. And I would like to point out that many of the paintings are for sale. Just let me know if you are interested. Take a look here: https://kojan.no

Leftover paint

In my last blogpost I showed you pictures from the closing party of my paintings course. Every time when the students are leaving for the day, they most likely have paint left on their pallets, and I hate wasting paint. So, I ask them to paint with the leftovers on a canvas hanging on the wall. This season many of them painted rings and blobs, and when I looked at it, I could vision many faces. So, I went on painting on it – and this choir turned up.

The Choir. Made on my student's leftover paint. 110x90 cm

New style?

Time flies, and I have not been very productive lately. However, I saw this interview on Art2Life Academy with an American artist from California; Micah Crandall-Bear. He paints abstracted landscapes, very interesting. You can check out his website here: www.micahcrandallbear.com

I was inspired by the lines that made such an amazing perspective, and the colors he used, so I wanted to try it out on a few boards I had already painted on. Here is the result:

Day break, 30 x 30 cm
Blue sea, 30 x 30 cm

Making these paintings took a lot of concentration and accuracy, which I liked, but I don’t think this is something I will continue doing. Or maybe I could implement some of it in the way I normally paint? What do you think?

I would love to hear from you!

Have a great day!
